Also, the transistor - the first working device was a point-contact transistor invented in 1947 by physicists John Bardeen, Walter Brattain, and William Shockley at Bell Labs who shared the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physics for their achievement.

Listening to your recent April broadcast with Brian, some evocations:

(1) Check out Candace Owens' Book Club - she's done excellent research on the root "cult" in Hollywood that you wondered about.

(2) Also, Kirby Sommers has useful info about events around 1947 - actually, figuring out why the year was so significant on a few levels.

I've got more suggestions:

What did Marshall McLuhan write and/or do in 1947? Look into that.

1. Polanski was above all influenced by Carol Reed's Odd Man Out (1947) - "I still consider it as one of the best movies I've ever seen and a film which made me want to pursue this career more than anything else... I always dreamt of doing things of this sort or that style. To a certain extent I must say that I somehow perpetuate the ideas of that movie in what I do."

2. Princess/Queen Elizabeth met her future husband, Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, in 1934 and again in 1937. They were second cousins once removed through King Christian IX of Denmark and third cousins through Queen Victoria. After meeting for the third time at the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth in July 1939, Elizabeth - though only 13 years old - said she fell in love with Philip, who was 18, and they began to exchange letters. She was 21 when their engagement was officially announced on July 9, 1947.

3. It's difficult to find the actual date that the Roswell crash happened. It was first reported on July 8, 1947.

4. My personal issue (based on my private sources) about 1947 is that the Aliens, that came to America from Germany with Wernher von Braun (who died on Bloomsday, 1977) and were lodged at the Pentagon, began to communicate to an "elite circle" in 1947. Knowing about these new residents was at a level of "top security" above the Atom Bomb's "clearance". Hence, the timing of OPERATION HIGHJUMP. Also, Howard Hughes and his twin brother knew.

5. At the end of your discussion with Brian, you ponder about "hyper-dimensions". That's the kicker in determining how/why/when and what happened in 1947 and the ways the "time-space continuum" was affected. Brian knows I have a way to explore that concern.

I wrote about it - in Dick Hallorann's room in Florida, against the wall, is a copy of Steeleye Span's 1975 LP "COMMONER'S CROWN." A crown made up of human figures. I was planning to begin my 237 investigation in Spring 2020 - but COVID-19 interfered. The prior fall - in November 2019 - I was in Boulder, Colorado at my aunt's funeral. I saw "Doctor Sleep" in a Boulder movie theater that featured life-sized images from "The Shining" on the wall in the foyer. It was all very surreal, especially at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park ... but forgive my rambling ...

I don't know if you have read Pynchon's Against The Day but your Professor Marvel theory is pretty similar to some ideas in it. The character Merle Rideout is continually linked to the Magician tarot card and described in ways that allude to Professor Marvel. Eventually he starts working with a character called 'Roswell Bounce' who teaches him photography then later they move to LA and invent a technology which allows them to use photographic film to see into the future or past.

Merle has a daughter called Dahlia who represents the High Priestess card in the novel's schema. Near the end of the novel Merle's technology is used to resolve the investigation into a ritual murder of a girl called Encarnación (incarnation) who may not actually be dead.

A timely part of the chat for me was the Oz premiere/Gold standard 8/15s 42 years apart. Benicio Del Toro's character answers the question 'what time is it?' with 8:15 in apartment number 24. The correct answer about time not being real but controlling us seems like the key to the film.

Besides appearing within the book itself, the novel's title apparently refers to a verse in the Bible ***(2 Peter 3:7)*** reading "the heavens and the earth ... [are] reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."

Baseball is 9 innings, 9 strikes, to get 3 outs. 6 outs in an inning, 54 in a game. A line-up consisting of 9 batters. 90 feet between bases. A regulation Major League Baseball has 108 double stitches.

"DURR 42 pAcEs BeTwEeN pLaTeS DURR"

You guys are drowning in confirmation bias.

yeah baseball is extremely ‘33-coded’ that’s why it’s so surprising to find a 42 lurking as an allegedly crucial measurement in the origins of the formalized ritual space.

it obviously pairs well with the fact that the number 42 is TABOO in MLB
