Great post, Alex. In 2013-14, McTiernan served time at the Federal Prison at Yankton, South Dakota. The same lock-up where Dale Cooper's doppelganger - "Mr. C." - is being held. The "jailhouse" warden is a "Dwight Murphy," played by actor James Morrison. Recall it is a "Spider Murphy" who is playing saxophone, as noted in Elvis Presley's 1957 hit "Jailhouse Rock." Let's rock!
huh! James Morrison was exactly *23070* days old on the day Episode 7 of Twin Peaks The Return aired, which is the episode where he lets Mr. C out of the Yankton prison.
his final appearance in episode 12, aired 42 days later.
"Murphy" is another odd Kubrickism, as it's the name of the character he voices in FMJ...
I haven’t finished the article just yet, it’s pretty long, (but I will). I stopped for a minute to ask if you have ever figured Owsley BEAR Stanley III into your KUBRICALCVLATIONS?
I have definitely done some work on Owsley Bear Stanley III (as well as I and II) though it's all in note files somewhere. Maybe I have an X thread about him somewhere... there could be many more posts like this tracking the Bear thing in all sorts of directions. Andrew's post also reminded me of the major Bear activity in Twin Peaks TR also. I'll get there one day...
of course, "Oz" is a name for the whole of Australia, the lands down under, or over, the rainbow. LOST makes that pretty clear as well...
I was just wondering about this Australia thing; In June 2005, a year before Bruno the Bear, was the release of "A Very Barry Christmas" which is about "When laid-back Australian Barry Buckley's sure-fire business venture fails to ignite, a bizarre chain reaction of events causes a catastrophic chance meeting with Santa." 2005 was also the last time Hanukkah and Christmas occurred on the same day before this year with Oz meaning strength in Hebrew-
scary shit, also i just watched die hard with a vengeance, tons of 911 stuff in that too

thanks, as always, for reading, Greg!

Btw, the Steely Dan song Kid Charlemagne from The Royal Scam album from 1976 was supposedly written about Augustus Owsley BEAR Stanley III as well.
I am going to further suggest as conjecture that they knew each other and that it was Owsley that caused the EWS to take so long to finish…
iykyk
Once again an excellent article!
Oz is also the Australian town where Owsley disappeared to to avoid arrest in the US.
